Giveaway contest details are at the end of this page
One of my favorite things is coffee
I have had to give up a lot over the past 16 months
My donuts
My Hostess cupcakes
My Chocolate Chip Cookies
But one thing I did not have to give up
Is my coffee !!
It’s now my favorite indulgence
Instead of Pecan Pie
I drink my Texas Pecan flavored coffee
I don’t add sugar or even cream most of the time
Which is why I love to find flavored coffees that give it
A little something extra
My Keurig is the most used appliance in my house
I may not eat cinnamon rolls anymore
But I do have cinnamon roll “flavored” coffee
Not the kind of flavor that adds calories
Just the kind that gives your coffee
A little something extra
Of course if I ever discovered that any of these things set me off
And made me want the real thing
Then I would have to give them up
But thankfully that has NOT happened
And I’m thrilled about that!
The closest I now get to a donut
Is Donut Shop Coffee
The closest I get to pumpkin pie
Is this
One of the most hilarious parts of my morning
Is going through Starbucks and ordering
“A Tall Blonde”
The first time I did this
My daughter cringed
And said
“Really Mom???”
As she apparently thought
I was putting in my dream order
For a man!
So….
I no longer drink coffee that has sugar in it
I no longer put cream in my coffee except occasionally
And then it’s the heavy cream with no sugar and only a few carbs
I do love sugar free Torani syrup
And I do take advantage of the sugar free syrups at Starbucks from time to time
I love the Blonde Roast at Starbucks
I love the Christmas Blend
And I LOVE that I did not have to give up my coffee
It’s just nice to have a few indulgences in life
That you don’t have to feel any guilt over at all
And this is mine
Well…
Coffee and books
These two things bring me a rare kind of joy
That I used to find in a large bag of Reeses peanut butter cups
But now I find it
In other things
Even my coffee mugs bring me pleasure
I collect different ones
And each one has a special significance to me
Like this one that my children gave me this year

Or this one that my daughter gave me
Which signifies the transformation we go through
In our weight loss journey
Just when we think our life is over
When we feel we will never get out from under
The food’s dominating effect over our lives
We find ourselves
Finding our way out of the cocoon
Finding our way to a beautiful new world
Learning to spread our wings and fly
Now this is my all time favorite travel mug
It just makes me happy
It is hot pink with “faux” diamonds
And I have about five of them at my house
Just in case they ever discontinue them!
So I picked one up at the store the other day
To include in this giveaway
Because if it makes me happy
Maybe it will make you happy too!
But here are my new favorite mugs
My best friend Amanda
Who always thinks of the most creative ways to bless me
Had an entire set of mugs made for me
From the pictures we took
On our trip to Florida for my brother’s wedding
And our trips to Universal and Disney
Amanda knows I have a minor obsession with mugs
And that I get a lot of joy out of drinking my morning coffee
From a mug that has a little something special to offer me
Each of these mugs was made a little bit different from the other
Personalized for each of the kids
And then mine was made special for me
How much do you LOVE that?!
So I guess we’ve established that I love coffee!
And if you love it as much as I do
You might be interested in this giveaway!
The winner will receive
One of my favorite hot pink travel mugs
And a $50 Starbucks Gift Card
This giveaway will run from December 19th at 12 AM to December 26th at 12 am
A random winner will be chosen by Rafflecopter
I will announce the winner on December 27th and they will have 7 days to claim their prize
Have fun and thanks for entering my giveaway!

When I first called my surgeon’s office, the first question I asked was: “will I have to give up coffee? If so, that might be a deal breaker!” Fortunately, the answer was no.
I LOOOOOOVE my coffee!! Great contest, thanks!!
Unlike you, I drink coffee solely for all of the flavored creamers I add! That’s my indulgence, 1 or 2 cups a day. I don’t know what it is, but it’s SO relaxing! I sit here every morning, with cup in hand, reading everyone’s blogs. I’m doing just that right now! And that coffee cup is HOT!

I love my Keurig, too! Although I’ve not had the funds to buy more of the flavor k-cups but I did have quite a large starter pack collection! I use non dairy creamers that have no carb and no sugar and barely any calories. I find sugar free ones too that are flavored like milk chocolate, that have only low amount of carb (about 2g per serving and usually I use less) and no sugar. I looooooooooooooooove my coffee!!!
I have seen these Keurigs but have not tried it…I love my blonde at starbucks and agree…flavored coffee is a sweet endulgence I get to keep!
I am a huge fan of coffee mugs too – they make me happy and each one tells a little story.
I recently have begun to enjoy afternoon tea too – which is odd, I was never much a tea drinker but instead of having a bag of chips or a giant cookie, I enjoy a special green tea. Right now, my favorite is a tahitian vanilla.

This is such a cute post. For myself I indulge in different kinds of tea. Coffee has never given me that lift, actually I hardly ever drink it but with tea I can totally relate to.
The mugs are really cute and then do tell a story.
Hope your day is going well
Many hugs to you.

I LOVE coffee too! I find that whenever I am craving something sweet, I too have a flavored coffee and it helps so much! I love that travel mug, I want it so bad!!!
Yes! Coffee is my morning indulgence. Or when I’m craving things really badly even though I don’t need to eat anything, I’ll make coffee or tea.
I wont enter the contest, I don’t think the card will work in Canada anyways
Oh, and awesome mugs! I love having beautiful mugs, I’m sort of picky!

Well, I will enter because I never would win being comment #9 out of the 15,000 you will prob get! hahaha But could you give away a Keurig instead. That’s what I need! I don’t own a coffee pot, and I’m the only person in the house who drinks coffee. I love it! And I would love to have some for bfast. But forking out for a Keurig right now isn’t feasible. Bummer! I will still take your mug, though. Ha!
Love Amanda’s mugs. What a thoughtful, thoughtful gift!

I never liked coffee-don’t even like the smell. One of the things I will not miss (among many things I will not miss) when I retire from my job of 35 years, TOMORROW!!!, is making coffee. I will probably still occasionally make coffee for hubby at home, he loves it, and if I get up first I’ll make a pot for him, but he is an early riser and since I will now be retired…..
But saying all that about coffee, I do have an indulgence I refuse to give up. And I have read all the recent studies that talk about how BAD diet pop is for you. I used to drink Pepsi (with sugar) all the time! Always had a glass of Pepsi with me, and went through 2-liter bottle after 2-liter bottle of the stuff. When they had a sale at the store, I would buy 20 or 30 bottles. The clerk would say, “Are you having a party?” It was embarrassing. My stock response was, “It’s always a party at our house.” And eating and drinking-wise, IT WAS! But now it’s a different kind of party at my house–it’s a celebration of living healthy! And I still drink pop. Only I discovered Diet Squirt and I LOVE IT. I used to limit myself to a can a day, but now I probably have 2 or maybe even 3 cans a day. I don’t think it stirs my sugar addiction, and it is my only indulgence, so I will NOT apologize for it. There’s NO calories in it (I refuse to drink my calories), and it satisfies the need for a snack, so I drink it, and I will keep drinking it, as long as I can afford it on my pension!!!

I generally don’t drink coffee, because from family habits my coffee is more milk and sugar than coffee. I previously tried the Torani syrups, but have since discovered that I really just enjoy the regular stuff.
However, Salted Caramel Hot Chocolates and Pumpkin Spice Lattes are a totally different story.
Congratulations on your 200 lb loss btw. I’m so proud of you!

I entered. I dont use Twitter so I could only enter the two times. The coffee flavors sound excellent and you are so sweet for doing a giveaway. I would LOVE to win that travel mug! It is awesome!
What a FABULOUS pink travel mug!!!! I love this giveaway!
Someday, I hope to have a Keurig, but for now I just make do with my coffee maker and, of course, Starbucks and Biggby!
My surgeon says I can drink coffee……I just drink one cup but I used to drink 4-5 cups. But I am just 15 days out from my RNY so who knows…great giveaway!!
I love those mugs too!!! They are awesome!!

Love coffee
Holly, thanks for encouraging us all to celebrate with you! I think I did all the tasks . . . Twitter confuses me
I love my coffee, too. I stop on the way to work most days and get a Dunkin Donuts medium iced coffee with cream . . . love the flavored creams, too, but most of the time I just drink my coffee with plain half&half. My dietician suggested that I give up the cream and use plain milk but I’m not sure I’m willing to do that! One of these days I may break down and purchase a Keurig . . . I saw a commerical a couple days ago for a Mr. Coffee version. My old Bunn coffeemaker is 10 years old so maybe when it kicks the bucket, I’ll take the plunge and invest in a Keurig!
You are absolutely beautiful in your Christmas picture!!!
Your friend Amanda is just the bestess! What a great gift!
Yep, I’m with you on coffee drinking. I drink it black. My fave is Green
Mountain caramel vanilla cream. I drink decaf….they only
make regular in kcups. (So I have to make it from ground
coffee! The horror!) A tasty kcup is Green Mt hazelnut.
Thanks for this wonderful giveaway!
Chrissy
Happy Holidays! I, too, am a chronic coffee drinker.
I love the aroma of coffee in the morning – nothing speaks of comfort like a hot cup of joe with cream and splenda!
Sounds like you really love your coffee!! So glad that you didn’t have to give it up. I really like all of your cool mugs!
I’m obsessed with coffee and tea. And I have a Keurig too! <3
Love my coffee (and my Keurig!). My first 4 months (no coffee) were rough…such a relief to be able to drink it again when those 4 months ended. My addiction is Green Mountain Pumpkin Spice, and I’m enjoying mine out of that same butterfly mug right now!
I read your thread on MFP and you are SO SO amazing!!!!! I just started blogging my weight loss journey as well to lose 120 lbs!
I saw a response in MFP on one of my friends feed and your name caught my eye
I also had gastric bypass in 2001 and have lost 200 pounds and exercise daily
You look beautiful and we both share the coffee addiction
Hi miss Holly. This is a great give a way. So glad I get a chance to enter. I am not a coffee drinker. Never was. But I drink tons of tea. And my tea of choice is Tazo chai tea sold by Starbucks. Hot and cold. Also I must admit the chocolate banana smoothie is my treat of choice.
Wishing you a happy holiday!
Hi! Would you mind if I share your blog with my
zynga group? There’s a lot of folks that I think would really appreciate your content. Please let me know. Many thanks
